I was in the kissing booth. Rachel claims not to remember it, which I find to be a highly dubious claim. The only thing that I can presume is that at the time, my shoulder length flaxen locks had her so bewildered in a state of like, love tizzy, that the whole thing just seems like a vision from heaven.

So yeah…this is really happening. Wow. I haven’t been on tumblr for a little bit because…well I’m not sure really. But I need to sit here and just write about how I’m FINALLY excited about seeing my fave band again after seven years! Over the last week, I’ve had a few ups and downs about Hanson touring again. Mostly ups. I get to spend a few days with my best friend in the entire world, and of course see what I know will no doubt be an amazing show. And also in an intimate venue. None of my negativity have been toward that, but more against some of the so-called ‘fans’. You know the ones that are a HUGE fan of the band when they tour but disappear, or even in some cases bad mouth the band if they’re not around.
It pisses me off to no end. I’m loyal. I put up with the years and years of no concerts, of jealousy that other fans get to see them so often. That other fans have met them. I put up with the incredulous looks and the laughing when I PROUDLY tell people I’m still a Hanson fan. Nothing will ever make me ashamed of the fact I’ve been loyal to an amazingly talented trio for 15 years. I was 12, I’m 27 now. Fuck, I’ve loved Hanson for longer than Kim Kardashian was married (not that that’s difficult).
THAT’S why it hurts when someone who so blatantly has run them down to anyone who’d listen in the past, is getting to see more shows and do the MOE in Sydney, just cause they can. In a way it comes back to the jealously thing…I won’t deny that, but its kind of insane how once a tour announced people can do not just a 180, but a 180, 360, all about turn around.
I made a decision when I was laying in bed last night daydreaming about this coming September. I’m not going to let anything ruin my second Hanson concert. I’ll have my best friend with me. We’ll be rocking awesome outfits, singing our hearts out and having an amazing time. I’ve got 167 days to get healthier, both mentally and physically and this is just amazing incentive. So if I get to meet one, or all of these guys. I’m going to thank them. Though I don’t know how you thank someone enough for saving your life, giving you something to hold onto in the tough times and for giving you your best friend, and experiences that you’ll never forget.
I’m going to sign this off right here, seeing as I’ve pretty much just rambled a whole bunch of nothing that I wasn’t actually going to ramble!
See you in Perth!
Why is being a hard core Hanson fan so different from being a hard core fan of any other band? Someone can say “Oh, I’m a hard core Bon Jovi fan” or “I’m a die hard Beatles fan” and and people are like “Cool! Rock on!” Then…
Wow…I absolutely agree with this!
oh my god…I had never thought of this!
